GBS Strep test. I’m in a situation and I need advice!

Have any of you ladies been tested for it at 35weeks? I’m currently 35+2

Few weeks ago my doctor told me that I’ll be able to get the test done next week since I’ll be 36w+5. Problem is I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT make Nov. 1st and my husband and mum keep telling me to just do it after I come back. My doctor only works on Fridays which means that after I return from my weekend in another city if I book for that Friday I’ll be 37+5. I rescheduled for this Friday where I will be 35+5 and don’t want to waste a visit and pay money for nothing. I want to ask if I’ll be allowed to get it done since I know it’s valid for 5 weeks. However plastered all over the internet is that this test is done after 36 weeks. I’d gladly retake it at 38-39 weeks if it comes to it but if I go into labour before that I’d want to know if I’m positive or negative.
