Advice on getting fixed??

Question

On my third pregnancy, and after this one we are done. I want to hear some advice on which one of us should do the job? Pros and cons to MOM getting fixed (how far/what option) vs DAD getting fixed. Just wanting to hear experiences from you and others you may know! Thanke!!

My husband took one for the team & got a vasectomy after we had our 4th. 😊 Quick outpatient procedure, in & out in an hour. I actually got to sit next to him while they did it. Lol he was sore for a few days. It was literally no biggie. I'm so glad he did that vs me getting my tubes tied. Here's some info from Google

Side effects: Tubal ligations may have more side effects than vasectomies. 
 
Reversal: Both vasectomies and tubal ligations can be reversed, but the reversal procedures are expensive and may not be successful.

A vasectomy is quick and has very little downtime. It’s a simple and non invasive process. It does not impact function or sex life at all. You need to follow instructions after to prevent pregnancy until testing shows zero sperm. 
A tubal is not a simple, quick process with little downtime. Some women experience post tubal syndrome. 
My husband has a vasectomy many years ago. We’d make the same choice every time.

My husband got a vasectomy. 
We had two very tough pregnancies that required a cerclage and rescue cerclage. We almost lost both kids in the second trimester. They were both born premature. My body went through a lot to bring them into this world as safe as possible. My husband absolutely did not want to make me go through a major surgery. 
Even before all the trouble, my husband wanted to do a vasectomy. He knew how quick the procedure was, the recovery, and the success rates. It made the most sense. 
My husband got his done 2 weeks after our second was born. We didn’t have a choice on if we were done yet or not, my body can’t do pregnancy again. It took 15 minutes. It was a tiny bit sore for 2 days. He got his 30-60 ejaculations out. Mailed in a sample about 2 months after the procedure. Then he was cleared and we haven’t used condoms or contraception since. It’s been 2 years. 
He still agrees that it is definitely the easiest and best way to go.

My husband was going to get a vasectomy, however we’ve now decided I’m going to get my tubes removed instead. I was diagnosed with some health complications after my last pregnancy that I’m still working through and it wouldn’t be wise for me to get pregnant ever again, so I’d rather know that it can’t happen for me. That and you never know what can happen and if for whatever reason we end up separated by whatever means, I wouldn’t have to worry about it with other partners. A salpingectomy is more invasive, but is still a very low risk procedure and has a higher success rate.
