What do Genital Herpes look like after the first initial outbreak?

I got diagnosed with hsv 1 from a partner putting his cold sore on his mouth down there and i’ve only had one initial break out. So I don’t really have any idea what Herpes looks like because it was a while ago and they say the first one is always bad and it was like on this inside of my vagina and on both sides so I don’t know if it’s always supposed to be cluster but this is a painful bump so i’m thinking it could be a herp or it could be like a pimple or ingrown what do you guys think? I’m going to see a doctor to make sure but just was wondering if anyone had some insight before I go
