Birth control side effects ?

I missed my depo shot on purpose, I just really hated what it was doing to my body and I was really depressed on it , also seeing the lawsuit or w/e that’s going on now I feel 10 times better doing it . But lately my whole body has been cramping down to my legs and really sore arms like I’ve been working out or something . Have anybody ever experienced something like this after getting off birth control? What’s your thoughts on the depo shot .

I’m an rn and I personally would have never taken the Depo shot, once it’s in your system you are pretty much stuck with all the side effects with no way of stoping the medication, you need to wait the three months for it to be out of your system and that’s if your body is metabolising it well. I think it was a good call getting off the Depo shot and allowing your body to regulate it self,  in the meantime if you are not wanting to conceive then take extra precautions. I was taking the pill and it messed up my cycle really bad where my period completely stopped making her monthly appearance.
