Should I just make my husband his dentist appointment

My husband has to get a root canal and was supposed to schedule that a month ago. We finally saved for it. Why he hasn't is mainly because he's afraid of the dentist, doesn't like needles, and gets overstimulated in that chair. He needs that root canal. His two front teeth are pretty bad. I keep bringing it up and he just says "Oh I forgot." Should I just make the appointment at this point?
