W7 3D Spotting and Unsure What to Do

Hello ladies. Im 7 weeks, 3 days, and I’ve been spotting since Sunday. It started as light brown, then yesterday turned dark brown and burgundy with hints of red. Today, it’s back to specks of brown, but I just had a gush of blood with some dark brown tissue. I’m trying not to panic, but I’m not sure if this is normal for first-time pregnancies.

I’ve somewhat been cramping and having some back pain as well. I’ve been in touch with the triage nurse, and my first ultrasound is scheduled for Friday. For those who’ve experienced something similar, what happened? when did you decide to go to the ER? Any advice would be so appreciated.
