Lawsuit from my husband's ex FINALLY got dismissed

My husband got sued by his ex girlfriend over a year ago. I hate the legal system where someone can make such a stupid frivolous lawsuit and it takes over a year to get it dismissed. She sued both my husband and my a different ex girlfriend. She sued my husband for something that happened several years ago. How they met was his family was in a homeless shelter. He was 15. She worked at the homeless shelter. She was 22 and she basically groomed him and lost her job when they found out. They dated for 10 years and then my husband left her. She decided to sue him stating that he was the reason she lost her job and then left her with nothing when he decided to leave her. She wanted compensation for that. She was suing a different ex because this ex called her a predator and she says that's defamation because my husband was a teenager and not a little boy. I thought how the legal system worked is they would look at it. Say "That's stupid." And throw it out. I didn't think we would end up having to shell out money for a lawyer for a lawsuit for over a year. Part of me thinks she knew she wouldn't win. She was just hoping we would exhausted our funds. We ended having to gofund for some funds. Finally it's over. People have been telling my husband to counter sue for a while and he thought about it but he decided when this was over it's over and he's done. He never wants to see a court room again. I wish he did honestly. Because this was completely bullshit.
