My SO and I are expecting im 4 months away from the delivery room and he is still refusing to tell his family and his other children. When i ask him when he is going to tell them about the baby he always just comes up with excuses like his kids are going through a lot and he doesnt want to add on stress by telling them or he'll tell them when he gets ready.. we planned this baby and he asked for the baby and now that its real i feel like he's hiding me and our child. We spend holidays apart because of his older children having some issue with me according to him even though ive only really interacted with them twice. I cant go to any of his family events and anytime i bring up how these things make me feel it always turns into a fight and him asking "why i even care, especially since him and i are together." So am i the asshole for wanting his family and kids to know about their new sibling/grandchild and wanting to be included in the other parts of his life with his family? No he's not married.
