Obgyn vs Midwife

Hey ladies! I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I have my first appt on the 20th and when I set up the appointment they told me that at this one id be weighing my options about whether I want an obgyn doctor or a midwife. I've been doing some research between the two but I'm going to be a first time mom and I would love some insight from some of you ladies about the differences and what are the reasons why I should pick either or? Not sure how this works but any advice would be appreciated!
