Is this a waste of time ?

So i met this guy chat , he’s the sweetest but i don’t know if he likes me , im sure it’s a no. I met this guy at a club we had a good time we hooked up it was great it’s been a month going on two . Since that point we got into a car accident together . He helped me from the moment i needed help . He took over the whole situation . He complements me he buys me food and of course we still hookup . I brought up something serious and OF COURSE he mentioned he was not ready for that. I understood completely but I’m giving him 2 more months. There was a point in time where i caught him lying and i blocked him. Eventually he admitted it to me and i forgave him . Now he’s mentioned that he likes me too much and we need to give each other space so we can avoid getting tired of each other. I took this in a weird way because if you like me why do you want to stop talking to me for a week. He also takes forever to text back i understand because he’s a truck driver. But you can’t even say good morning ? Sometimes he won’t text the entire day and call me to make up for the fact that he never texted I’m sure i sound dumb but i would love to hear others opinions thanks 😊
