Pregnant Immediately After D&C
Anyone fall pregnant immediately after D&C? What was the outcome? 10th pregnancy and 2 living children.

MMC due to maternal triploidy & genetic counseling & my morning.
I had my D&E on November 20. HCG was blood tested out of my system on December 3–result was less than 5 at my 2 week follow up. HCG is low the whole pregnancy with this particular genetic condition, so I don’t think it took long for it to drop. They advised I go to see a genetic counselor given my history.
After meeting with a genetic counselor—they are making strides in research on maternal triploidy and they essentially believe that somewhere on one of my chromosomes I have a “broken” gene. That broken gene does nothing to me per se, but that gene causes some/most of my eggs to have issues breaking apart or causing nondisjunction during meiosis—hence the extra set of chromosomes in the egg. Unfortunately, since I only have one miscarriage that has been tested with this particular genetic abnormality insurance will not pay to cover the testing to find that broken gene. If I have another miscarriage and they can prove it is genetically linked insurance will pay for the testing. If I do have a broken gene—the only option going forward to ensure a normal pregnancy would be IVF. She’s hoping I just get pregnant and have a normal pregnancy the next go around—essentially getting lucky with an egg like I did with Shep and Evie—but it makes me so so so much more likely to not have one unfortunately. Definitely a lot to process.
I’ve been awaiting my cycle to return and they couldn’t give a timeline on it because every person is different. I’ve been feeling weird so I took an ovulation test to see if that’s what was going on. Took a pregnancy test after getting a very intense positive and it also appears positive.
Pretty confused. Pretty scared. Essentially I have to treat every pregnancy like it’s going to end before I have genetic testing. Just needed some love I suppose. I’m in therapy and life has just really been rough recently.
