What made you go into labor??

Question

Seeing all these precious babies I'm 2 days away from my due date, and I got nothing so far! Congrats to all you mommas they are so precious!!!
I was wondering what was it that made u go into labor or knew u were in labor
Like water breaking, induction, contractions, etc.

My water broke both times.

I had finished baking cookies (something to keep my mind off of baby being late) I was super emotional that day.

Got up to go to the bathroom, then my water broke on the way there, no contractions, if I had some then they weren't memorable. That was at 430 ish in the pm, then at 315 am she was born. Didn't want to wait to meet her parents I guess! ☺

I tried everything but castor oil nothing put me into labor . I had contractions for a week straight . And on New Year's Day I woke up with my fiancé who was getting ready for work and my contractions hurt more than they did before so I say there for 30 minutes and waited to see how close they were . I had a lot of pressure in my butt too . ALOT ! I told him we needed to go to the hospital . Good thing we did too because within two hours I was at a 6 and got the epidural . Had a membrane sweep. Contractions started 3 hours later. Knew it was the real deal when they got closer together.

Because it was my first pregnancy, I had this mindset that I'd still be pregnant after 40 weeks. So when I lost my mucus plug when I was 37+4, had random back contractions throughout the day, and my belly was noticeably lower, I was in total denial haha my water broke at 1:30am and then my contractions started after 30 minutes at two minute intervals each lasting a minute long
