Did you have to wean to get pregnant again?

I know so many people that have been able to get pregnant while nursing but my body seems like it’s “ovulating” but not like it did when I got pregnant with my son. He’s 2 and co-sleeps and will have milk more than I’d like to admit. We are going to start the weaning process because I truly think that is what’s making it hard for us to conceive. Has anyone else had success getting pregnant after weaning their toddler? I know cervical mucus isn’t a total indication of ovulation but before my son I would get cramping on one side and a lot of ewcm. I have had regular periods since he was 10 months old but haven’t had any of my previous ovulation indicators. I also test bbt and that tracks with ovulating but it just seems off.
