Please help I don’t know why I’m not ovulating

I’m pretty sure I’m not ovulating when I’m suppose to iv been tracking for the last five months. I have not peaked. I not experiencing ovulation symptoms either. It’s so frustrating because I’m going on 8 months of trying. I was told by June if I’m not successful then they will do further testing but it’s annoying because if I’m clearly having trouble getting pregnant then why not actually do something. I was also recommended just to get ovulation strips even after I told them Iv been using them already way before I even started trying.
