Pls help this is very weird and painful

During the winter sometimes I will get dry skin under my breasts? I don’t necessarily know why but usually I’ll notice it and just apply lotion and it’s a non issue but I did exactly that the other night and woke up to the skin under my left breast absolutely on fire, the skin was raw and raised/swollen in a line like right there where the bottom of a bra would be and it looks like I have a really bad carpet burn and I don’t even know why! I skipped lotion and went straight to putting diaper rash cream on it for relief because any air, sweat, or even a shirt rubbing against it was so absolutely painful. I realized it’s probably just SUPER dry, raw and pissed off skin. I don’t know what I did to cause it. Should I treat this like a burn? Can I put burn cream on it? Do you think diaper rash cream (desitin) will suffice?
