Am I ovulating?

Hi all!

Summary at the end, if you're in a hurry.

We've been TTC for 5 months now and I always use ovulation tests to track my ovulation. I also check my CM.

This cycle has been a bit weird. The Clearblue advanced test (the one that tests both LH and estrogen) hasn't been able to detect a peak. I checked for 10 days and almost every time the LH line was very dark and the estrogen line, not so much. So I always got a flashing smiley face instead of a steady smiley face.

I thought maybe I did something wrong, but then 2 days ago I got blood work that seems to confirm I didn't ovulate.

My gynaecologist has had me do blood work every cycle for 5 months now to check my levels of progesterone after the predicted window for ovulation, to see whether I do ovulate (on suspicion of PCOS). So far, I'd always had normal results, but this time around my progesterone levels are below what's expected after ovulation. Really low.

So it could be I'm not ovulating this cycle, or it could be that I'm having an unusually long cycle and I haven't ovulated *yet*. My cycles are already on the longer side - 33-35 days.

Now I'm on day 24 and I've tested again. Unfortunately I couldn't find the Advanced Clearblue test at the pharmacy, so I tried with a regular Clearblue test and another non-digital test. They both show very high levels of LH which would suggest that it's time to baby dance, I think? But I've had high LH levels for 10 days now and the issue was with estrogen levels, which unfortunately I can't check now...

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Has it happened to anyone else?

I also thought I had raw egg white CM a few days ago, but I'm never 100% with CM.

SUMMARY:

- my cycles are usually 33-35 days long

- I'm on day 24 (so I should have already ovulated)

- Clearblue advanced test hasn't detected a peak, just high fertility days - almost 10 of them

- every time I checked inside the test (I didn't just look at the display with the smiley face), the estrogen line was faint and the LH line was much darker

- blood work from 2 days ago shows I have very low progesterone levels, suggesting I haven't ovulated

- now I have tested again with a regular Clearblue test and another non-digital test and they both still show high LH. But I don't know about estrogen.

- So, do you think I'm ovulating or am I going through a cycle without ovulation?

+ Why am I asking this question? Because my husband has ED, so it's a big effort for him to BD, and if we do at the wrong time he might not be able to when it's really necessary.
