Do you get to choose due date with c-section?

I haven’t discussed it with my ob yet since he hasn’t been in office.

Yes, you can choose within a certain week, they usually want you to go 39 weeks unless there are complications for them to go earlier. But I have had 2 and 1 coming up in a few weeks and got to choose with both according to the date we want, the surgeon that will be there that day, and to accommodate our schedule as best as possible. You can’t choose a date like way after your due date or way before but within the week they want you to deliver yes

Yes and mine lets me go all the way to 42 weeks!!!! My drs office is awesome lol but i never choose past 40. Im always too scared or know im too tired by 40 weeks. Lol

It’s depends everywhere is different but if you have no complications once you hit 39w they will let you pick a date within that week

In the US, most OBs prefer that you select a date in the 39th week if possible so that baby is “fully cooked”, but you’re lower risk for going into labor (which makes the CS more difficult). If it’s scheduled early enough, you may be able to choose a specific date! I was able to with my first. You may also want to consider that your specific OB may only do scheduled surgeries on certain dates if that’s something important to you too.
