13dpo and neg

I'm about 13dpo depending on when I had ovulated. I wasn't going to test until my period started but got tempted. I randomly decided to test mid day today so definitely not FMU, kinda feels like I see a shadow but it's hard to tell. It's one of those tricks where you have to really look closely and hard. Then I was like let me confirm again so I did another test tonight and it's completely negative in my eyes! Is it pretty safe to say I'm out then? I'm also thinking like if you're 13dpo and not even getting a faint line, then most likely out I guess! Anyone had similar experience but ended up pregnant?
