Birth story
My baby was due April 9 but on March 13 I had my appointment I had high blood pressure they made me stay a night to see if I had protein in my pee the next day they told me I had preclamsia that I had to stay till my baby was 38 weeks to get induced… I got induced March 27 at 12 I think they started giving me the medicine to start it I dilated 1/2 by myself. Later they broke my water, before that the contractions where not there it just felt like I was in my period discomfort. Once they broke my water I dilated to 3 they were cleaning me so it wouldn’t get infected. I started to feel the contractions i was planing no epidural but it got so bad at mid night I gave in and asked for the epidural it was the best thing I went to sleep but it stopped working they came and put more medicine cause it had finished it was just not working they were checking me how much I had dilated it had passed more than 24 hours I had stayed at 3 till the last dr said I had gotten infection and they asked who was the last dr why didn’t they catch it and that’s why I wasn’t dilating and why the epidural wasn’t working so they told me I had to get a c section because the baby was getting in distress. I wasn’t prepared at all I did cry but said ok. My plan was to go non medicated to do my 40 weeks normal birth so yea I cried. When they took me they had to put me till the strongest medicine to sleep my body since the medicine wasn’t working. Thank god I didn’t feel anything, but I was falling asleep and I started uncontrollably shaking shivering they put a blanket over my arms… like what was that gonna do my teeth were shaking my mom was with me she was calming me down. Finally at 7:30 baby Thiago was born. 7lbs a healthy baby. Let me not talk about the after pain of the c section because honestly I am still traumatized of from when I was in the hospital to when I gave birth to after birth it was so painful. I don’t know if I would want to have another baby.
