Dr put me on pill when TTC

Hi,

I had a miscarriage in this last week. Everything passed naturally and I went to the doctor to check everything. He said I was clear and to take some progesterone for two weeks to make my period come. I didn't understand he was giving me a contraceptive pill, albeit for two weeks... He said this was the best option as who knows how long it would take for my cycle to return etc. I understood, but once I checked I felt very disappointed that he didnt explain that like this I couldn't ovulate etc... when he said progesterone I said, but can I still get pregnant? He said, 'it's not impossible.' well.. it kind of is. What do you think of this? I feel uncomfortable. I did start this minipill already- I have had two days of. Any advice or comments re this would be appreciated..
