Do you (parents) plan to bond with your newborn before accepting visitors?

I am looking for feedback, please feel free to comment as well. I am 50/50 on the matter and it's a discussion you wanna have with your spouse but I know both parents (definitely Mom's)may have concerns about babie(s) being exposed to lots of people and germs so small. Also just giving themselves a few days-weeks to settle and bond at home.

Answer

I plan to do what we did with our firsts we didn’t tell anybody for a few days after getting home not including the 3 days in the hospital. Birth was so overwhelming and exhausting and adjusting to new parent life or adding a new addition and tasking the older ones with a job as new siblings is also overwhelming exhausting and anxiety inducing. So I loved the week+ time of having mine to myself for a few days.

I’m planning no visitors at the hospital besides for my first born. Then when we get home depending on how we feel we can start having people meet the baby, but I don’t want anyone lingering so I’ll preface it saying you may come for a short visit. That’s if everything goes smoothly in labor. 
I’m with you with all of us due around the holidays it’s hard to foresee what we will or won’t be doing, but for me and the newborn I think we will be home and I’ll let my husband and first born do some Christmas events with the family to not spoil their fun. FOR NOW! Things may change
