Anatomy scan problems- kindeys and baby size.
Just wanted to get perspective from others moms who experienced something similar. I was sent to MFM for my 20 week anatomy scan since I have had 3 c sections, have an anterior placenta, and history of gestational hypertension. No issues currently with those. But they found excess fluid on his kidneys and he is measuring 2 weeks bigger than he should be. She said the fluid can be just because he’s a boy. But needs to be monitored. (Mentioned it’s a soft marker for downs but likely not that. No other signs) Size could be genetics but unsure. She said the due date is likely correct as the first ultrasound measurements are pretty accurate. Also talked about early delivery if hypertension returns.
This is my 4th baby and with no issues in the past a suppose I’m a little anxious for my little guy. Thanks for reading!
