Flaky ears ??

This may be a long shot but why are my ears (I’m 27) always flaking / peeling ? I always have some type of crust on them, white flaky pieces all over my ear. It’s embarrassing because sometimes I forget to check them to clean them. Do I need to apply lotion to them ? My husbands ears do not do this and he doesn’t apply lotion on them . I know this is a mom group but idk where else to ask
