Stopped Birth Control!!

Me and my husband are TTC and I have stopped taking BC we are on week 3. As soon as I stopped It was right at my peak fertile window and hormones were crazy!! I have been on BC since I was 15 now 24(25 in April) and it has felt like I'm a teenager again!! We have been very sexually active! What have others experienced when coming off BC and TTC? I was suppose to get AF today-this week, will not taking BC completely change my cycle? How long did it take for you to conceive and how did you know?
