Am I the only one that can't stand Valentine's Day?

I hate this "holiday" so much. Like I don't get why people need to take one day out of 365 days to show someone how much they care and love them. I would expect that treatment all 365 days a year. Luckily I found a guy that feels the same as I do about Valentine's Day. It's just another day. I get what it's all about but I don't agree with it at all.

I adore Valentine's Day. I love writing cute cards for my boyfriend and taking extra care and love for that entire week because his birthday is the 22nd. Last year he left February 1st and was supposed to be gone for four weeks, he worked on the north slope of Alaska and worked four weeks on and two weeks off. But their project on the oil rig ended up being weathered out so he came home on the night of the 14th! I mean, seriously, how can you not love a surprise on a day where you thought you were spending it alone while everyone is together and he comes and scoops you up in his arms? He was literally holding a poster that said "I flew 851.8 miles to be your valentine" and roses.

I think it's good to show love every day, not just that day. But I'm still not bothered by the holiday.

I know celebrate my daddy's birthday on the 14th lol but besides I in general hate the holiday cause everyone thinks that's the only time to be 'in love' and show it to your SO eh makes me mad-____-

I hate it too! For the same reason that you should show love to your s/o everyday of the year, and do nice things for each other whenever you feel like it, not just one specific day.
