Bleeding behind placenta??

Hi, i just had an ultrasound and baby looks good with healthy heart beat. But the doctor saw that there is bleeding behind the placenta. She said nothing to worry at the moment. But i'm just worried. Anyone had this or having this? What does it really mean? Thanks!

I had one diagnosed at 6 weeks. Went back for follow up ultrasound at 8 weeks and it was gone.

I was told I have a subchorionic bleed as well. Never had I heard of it before this. But my sister and 2 other people I know that are pregnant have it! Completely normal and should go away over time as the baby grows!

I'm with all of you! I have one too and it is a little bigger than last time with this ultrasound but they said not to worry. Said some ladies have them up until they give birth! Just can't explain it but it is a little worrisome! I haven't had any bleeding thankfully. I'm just praying it heals and we're all good! After over a year of trying were ready for this babe! 9.5 weeks today!

My midwife said that it happens sometimes and it's not an indication that anything is wrong. It simply means that while the placenta was forming and attaching to the uterus wall that a pocket of air got stuck in between them and causes a pocket of blood. It should eventually push its way out and it might scare you because it should look like you've started your period but as long as you're aware of it and you consult your doctor there should be zero complications from it!

Just happen for the 2nd time Tuesday. They call it a subchroinic hematoma. Basically blood clotting that doesn't affect baby. Your body will usually upsorb or expell. Its scary bit is not painful.

Mine was discovered at 10 weeks and I had another ultrasound at 11 weeks, size has remained the same so they are doing another ultrasound at 13 weeks

Yes, I had a hematoma with both my pregnancies. Both with Ivf meds too so I believe the meds are what causes the blood clots. Babies were fine. Don't worry even tho that's hard. Its scary tho...

I had my scan on monday. The fluid is still there but not smaller or bigger. The baby is fine and growing. Next appointment is next friday!

Are u taking fertility meds?? Any form of Pio, estrogen, anything that assisted in you getting pregnant?

I'm curious about this too bc I have it. I'm 9 weeks tm and I have an 8 year old but this didn't happen with her. I was told not to worry unless I bleed. I go bk 2/5. They check and see if anything has changed
