Using self cleaning oven while pregnant??

Just wondering if anyone knows how harmful the fumes are from using the oven self cleaning mode? I've read multiple viewpoints and I'm still confused!

I had it on for maybe 5-10 minutes before I turned it off because I wanted to be safe rather than sorry. And even now I'm feeling paranoid that I enhaled noxious fumes during the 10 minutes. Being pregnant has made me very paranoid about life lol.

I'm curious to know what you guys think and if you've ever used the self cleaning in an oven before while pregnant.

I just want to get the damn bacon grease out of my oven so I can bake cookies tomorrow! Haha. I may just need to use baking soda and water....

Self cleaning oven doesn't use any chemicals, only high heat.  I would recommend doing it when you aren't going to be home the entire time (if you like taking the risk) and open all your windows.  I can't stand it when I'm not pregnant so I never do it the entire time anyway.

The Teflon in the oven heating up to such a high degree (I believe its 900 degrees) is what causes the toxic fumes. I wouldn't trust it. Just use baking soda, water and some Dawn dish soap.  Also, definitely do not use it if you have a bird in the house. The fumes WILL kill it!

I was worried when I was pregnant, so I cleaned my oven with baking soda mixed with water (makes a paste). I let it sit for a little bit, then sprayed vinegar on it to foam it up a bit. Then just wiped it away. Got all the gunk and oil and stuff out of my oven and I didn't have to deal with any serious fumes.
