Question for the Muslims..

Please be understanding if my question seems like a ridiculous one, but i just don't know alot about the Muslim religion, cause I'm not muslim. Anyways, I was watching a movie & it got me wondering about something, I'm pretty sure I understand that wearing the fabric around your heads & neck has to do with staying modest.. right? Well I was just wondering if there are any circumstances where it's ok to take it off, like when ur just at home and around ur husband & family is it ok to have it off or is it frowned upon to take it off around them too? Or like during sex with ur husband, are you suppose to wear it then as well? I know its about modesty, I guess I'm just curious if u are suppose to stay modest at all times around all ppl, or if husband's are allowed to see their wives in immodesty (without the fabric covering them) not sure what it's official name is, sorry. Anyways thats it! Just a random question that came from pure curiosity! Thanx
