Period with iud?

I got my skyla IUD in August of 2015, I've recently stopped getting my period(not pregnant). My doctor said getting your period on Skyla is usual, most girls don't stop getting their period, leading me to believe I would still get it. Anyone else not get their period on skyla or mirena?

my gyno told me it is possible to completely stop getting your period with skyla. I still have mine but it is about 3 days shorter than it used to be.
