Should I continue doing it with my ex?

Hello everyone! I'm Dona and new to the community. My boyfriend and I just broke up a few days ago.. It sucks but we are still best friends and talk everyday. It makes it harder to move on but we are each other's BEST friend so we decided its okay to stay in touch. Anyway, we still have tons of chemistry and want to hook up everytime we are alone but I can't decide if it is a good idea to continue having sex.. I love him and he loves me and its absolutely great but we decided to break up because our relationship got way too serious than we can be at this time. I'm 23 and he is 22. So I need your opinion, should I continue having sex with him? I'm worried that he would hook up with another girl and not tell me since he is technically single. That would not only hurt me emotionally but I want to protect myself physically too.
