Not finding out the gender?

Question

My husband has convinced me that it will an amazing experience for us to wait and not find out the sex of our baby. I am such a planner but it is exciting to think about not knowing! Has anybody else waited? Or if this is your first (like me) are you planning on finding out or waiting ?

I couldn't wait. I had to know lol. Thought I could wait, bought neutral things, but when it came time to finding out the gender, I had to know.

I think I am going to wait, this will be my first baby, I like the idea of surprise, I don't mind if I have a boy or a girl so it would be a lovely surprise :)

We're going to wait. I hate calling the baby an 'it' though, so I keep switching between he and she and my husband thinks I'm making some kind of prediction haha

We didn't find out.. Most amazing thing ever when they tell you.. And it kind off pushes you through labour too!

We're planning on waiting until it pops out to discover the gender. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't doing it to partly annoy everyone around me (I know they all want to know).

​I've told my husband before that if we ever have twins were not telling people until two babies pop out.  I've also  said that if I could get away with it I wouldn't tell anyone I was pregnan and just wait for them to ask just to make it awkward for them.

I contemplated waiting, this will be baby # 4 for us, but I figured.. Either way, sooner or later it's still a surprise, right?! ?

I found out with my first but I don't want to with this bean. Hubby does, and we're both quote impatient, so here's hoping we can last the distance. There's no way he cld find out and not blurt it out and spoil it for me!

Best decision of our lives was to wait! It was exhiliarating to have the dr hold up our baby and say, "It's a girl!" We are now on our second pregnancy and without a doubt we are not finding out. If you think about it, it's really one of the only true surprises you'll ever have in life. As for planning, I got neutral colors/theme for pretty much everything, which is great bc it means I don't have to re-buy if the second one turns out to be a boy. And when you have a baby shower and people know the sex you het tons of clothes...when they don't know the sex, you get the equipment you really need (just my observation from personal experience). Good luck with your pregnancy...and yes it is hard to wait, but no one who does ever regrets it:-)

Yes my husband wanted to wait to find out the gender for our first baby :) at first it was fun then in the middle I wanted to know haha and kept bugging DH but he got sort of upset and I knew it really meant a lot to him to wait until baby was born to know. However I had a strong feeling baby was a boy and when he came out I wasn't really surprised lol very happy though that I had waited and shared that special moment with my hubby. He loved it! This time around it's my turn to decide what we're doing =D
