Role play??

Can someone just explain this to me? I know what role play is and me and my so have been talking about doing it but what shall we do? How does it work? Like suggestions and tips please?!!!

It's pretty much like porno. For example, teacher/student role play: he could wear a suit and you a school girl outfit and you guys role play about certain situations as if you are actually living them. It's surprisingly very hot and not hard to do!

It depends if you want to do a scenario role play (like student / teacher or doctor / patient) or just a dom / sub one (best way I could think to word it). 
My SO and I haven't ever done a scenario one, but we switch around with ds for the power play (name calling, choking, tying up / down, blind folding, gagging, etc.). 
Talk to your partner before hand and discuss what you're comfortable with, and what role you'd like to be in (if you're more into being the sub, say that). 
It should be easy to slip into the roles, and just have fun with it! You can find a lot of ideas via Google.
