This is my 4th baby. My 1st time I had an epidural, but it wasn't until my 2nd baby and epidural that I realized the first one may not have worked as well as it should've, because I felt a lot less the second time. In fact, one leg was so numb the second time I couldn't move it for hours. With my 3rd, I thought I'd like to try natural since I thought he'd be my last and wanted to know what it was like without the epidural for once. I handled it and it was only murderous for a couple of minutes (while he was crowning), and I felt so amazing the first hours and days after birth. Now that I'm having another, I can't decide if I'm brave enough to do it again without the epidural. Anyone else done it both ways? What did you prefer?
