Baby using me as a pacifier

My 3wk old has been using me as a pacifier. I usually don't mind but the past few nights as soon as I take her off the boob and put her down she's wide awake and fussing to get back on the boob; this has caused many sleepless nights. I've read that you should avoid giving a breastfeed baby a pacifier so does anyone have any advice or tips to help me get some sleep???
