When I try to figure out my race?

I get answers in not sure really answer my question?! I don't have a lot of knowledge about this stuff but I keep asking family members what we are (Obviously white) but the only answer I've gotten is, Italian and Cajun...my family has lived in lousiana forever until my mom met my dad who's Italian and they created me their 'Cajun italian' baby....I understand Italian but I don't the Cajun part completely

Aren't Cajun people mostly of French and Spanish decent? I can't remember but I think that's what the majority of Cajun people are.

I've heard stories of people in Louisiana finding out they are part black very distantly. :/

Anyway the only way to know for sure is to do one of those DNA kits, like 23 and me or ancestry DNA. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much.

Cajun people decent solely from the Acadian exiles who settled in South Louisiana in the 18th century.

Acadian people are from the Acadia region which was a former French colony.

Idk where exactly Cajun people's are from, but that's one of my fave cultures! It's so interesting to me ha :)
