Anyone taking fish oil in addition to their prenatal vitamins? Why or why not?

If you can get one with a higher proportion of dha that's the good stuff. I get Nordic natural ultimate omega.

I take Spectrum DHA which is for pregnant and nursing moms. It has no fish but rather is formulated from algae so there is no risk of murcury, I have heard though that fish oil pills are generally safe regarding murcury levels so I'm sure they are fine, I'm just paranoid! I got them at whole foods and so far so good :)

This is what I take. Pricey, but very minimally processed and easier for me than slurping down FCLO!

I was thinking about it since I don't eat fish but want the omegas and DHA. Anyone recommend certain brands that don't make them sick or taste fishy??

Before I became pregnant, I had borderline high cholesterol. I was on two fish oil pills per day, so now I'm just taking one in addition to the prenatal vitamin.

I'm taking it! I was told by my doctor and nutritionist it is very important for the babies brain development.
