Trisomy anyone?

Has anyone opted out of having the Trisomy testing done? Im such a worry wart abt being a first time mom and thought this test would add to my nervousness so i canceled. Has anyone else? Thoughts?

Me! ✋ I'm a second time mom, and I still don't want any undue stress. 95% of high readings are false. And I wouldn't do the invasive diagnostic testing if something came back abnormal. Plus I'm having twins, and that is notorious for being inaccurate. I figure if anything is off, we can address it at the 20w ultrasound.

My fiancé and I agreed we won't be getting it done. Regardless of the out come we are going to keep our baby so there's no need to put that stress on us. Plus in cases it can cause miscarriages and I'm not taking that chance.

My husband and I did it.  We would not have carried the pregnancy to term. Everybody has very very different opinions on this, and it's a sensitive subject. But you have to do what's right for you.

I'm 39, almost 40yrs old. I'm having the blood test done. I will carry this child as long as God lets me, but I would want to know if my unborn child had any chromosomal problems. So that I can emotionally prepare. I have 3 other kids, and would need to prepare them as well.

I won't be having the testing done either. My doctor has been pushing me towards it but we decided it wouldn't matter either way. We'd definitely be keeping the pregnancy, and I'm not very high risk for it at almost 20 years old, so we've decided against it.

Won't do it.  We would carry to term, deliver, and keep our baby no matter what.

PLEASE HAVE IT DONE! I just had a miscarriage of twins (girls) that had trisomy 14 and it's so rare that we can hardly find any information on it. It's so important to know genetic testing on your baby.
