Non medicated birth?

Is anyone going this route I know it's still early and I have time to decide ... But I really don't think I want to have an epidural. Then  at the same time I'm scared not to... Any advice?!

I did. 22 hours of labor all natural. It was hard but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My baby was born so alert and wide eyed. He nursed right away and we were able to bond. I had him at a freestanding birth center so we went home about 4 hours later. It was everything I'd hoped for. I encourage every expectant mother to go natural. It's a truly powerful experience you'll never forget.

Check out Bradley method. Find an instructor in your area and take a class!!!! 12 weeks and costs some $$, but it's a MUST.

I had an all natural home birth. You just have to commit. It's definitely challenging but I'm thrilled I succeeded. Trust that your healthcare provider will guide you differently if necessary.

I'm also plan on going without an epidural. I have a friend who had a baby at 17 & 19 and didn't get an epidural for neither. I'm going to try to stick it out and only think of the pain as temporary like I did with my tattoos and piercings lol. Even though I know labor pain is ten times worse. I'm going to push through 😩. As a general rule, I don't take meds anymore unless they are needed to save life or limb. For me, birth is no exception. I don't like messing with my body's natural processes, so unless surgery is required or I have serious bleeding or something, there will be no meds. I had to have a c-section last time and I hated being all numb and doped up.

I'm going the natural route too. My mom did all three of us natural and plenty of women since. I just tell myself as long as I can make to the point where I can't get a epidural then my body will do what it's built to do. For us ftms we don't know what to expect til it happens and for that matter no one does because every pregnancy is different. I was my bestfriends right hand man when she gave birth and our plan was to not do an epidural but she wasn't dilating properly and they had to induce her. After 13+ hours of labor she just couldn't do it so they have her an epidural. I will say that having me there to coach her and remind her of her Lamaze breathing helped a ton. So I plan on looking into all that and making my boyfriend and my mom go with me so they can coach me through. Things happen plans 
change we can only do our best and not beat ourselves up if we have to go another route. Only you know what your body is capable of
