Negative? I dont understand..

Why i keep getting negatives... af was due 1/12 and i have all the signs and symptoms of early pregnancy. I know AF isnt coming because these signs arent my normal signs. Is it because this is a cheapie 88 cent test should i get blood work? A better brand? When i make it negative i see something super super faint, but i think it is just line eys. This is baby #2 and the first one i just had a gut feeling i was pregnant like i do now. You can tweak if you want. Just so frustrated because i dont know what is going on...???
