39 weeks... I don't want to go to a wake.

So today I'm 39 weeks. My husband's uncle who I never met has passed away and his wake is tonight. I have been having strong Braxton hicks and don't feel comfortable going to the wake. I feel more comfortable staying home (actually I'll be at my mother's which is two blocks from home). My husband seems upset and I understand. But I don't think he understands where I'm coming from. I just have this fear - irrational as it seems - of going into labor at the funeral home and that's not the story I wish to tell...
