Newborn/birth control

My son is a month and I'm comin up on the 6 weeks. It took us 2 years to get blessed with my son after a miscarriage (medically helped). So pregnancy is not something that comes easily since I don't ovulate. Me and my husband aren't going to go the medical route this time but we aren't going to prevent it either. So I'm asking if you any of you women in similiar boats and if you got pregnant after without medical help?  Debating on going on birth control or just being unprotected with my spouse. What do you guys recommend?
