Why can't I orgasm?

My SO and I have been together for over a year now. We started having sex about 6 months ago, but I just can't seem to orgasm. I get super close, but my legs start to shake and sometimes it starts to hurt, so I make him stop. He cares about me and wants me to orgasm, and I want to know what it feels like. I'm just not sure how to fix the problem. Any suggestions? Please help.

When I first started having sex I never was able to orgasm. Don't get me wrong it felt awesome but no cumming. I didn't reach an orgasm until I gave myself one. I find that's normal for a lot of girls. Since I started having sex at 16 I didn't know exactly what an orgasm should feel like, but now that I have experimented on my own and successfully climaxed I am able to do it with every partner.
