How long were you in hospital post-birth?

Question

I'd love to hear how long your stay was. I want to have a good idea what to prepare for. I've heard the "no complications" estimate, but I'm mostly curious about longer stays.

I went in at 5 am on a Wednesday morning to be induced, had a csection (we knew going in it would most likely happen) around 2 that afternoon, got in my room in the maternity wing at 10 pm, then was discharged first thing Saturday morning. My hospital keeps you 3 days usually for csectiond and 2 days for vaginal.

I wasn't happy in the hospital. Me and baby were healthy so they let me go home after 24hrs.

24 hours for my first & 4 long days with my second. Both vaginal deliveries.

Counting full labor with first Jan 6-8..an second June 30- July 2. Both were boys so had to wait for myself to get discharged the first and wait for him to get discharged with the second

With a c section its three extra days from birth. I had my now 6.5 yr old at 10:44pm on a wed. I was sent home saturday.

My husband and I were so comfortable at our hospital we didn't want to leave lol we stayed two days. They had a pull out couch for him to sleep on and it was like being at a hotel.

The hospital with my first had a minimum of a 24 hour stay. I gave birth close to midnight and they won't release you in the middle of the night so I had to stay 2 nights and got to go home just after noon on the second day.

With my first, I went in for induction early on a Tuesday morning and delivered at 937 that night. I was also group b positive, had prolonged rupture of membranes (dr ruptured me around 830 am) and slight fever at delivery. I was discharged late in the evening on Thursday, but because of all of the above baby girl wasn't released until Friday morning as a precaution. I was alowed to stay in the hospital with her, I wouldnt have left anyway. This time I'm hoping for a shorter stay but am still anticipating about 48 hours after delivery.
