So after 13 months of TTC and one miscarriage, my husband and I are moving forward with fertility testing. If you haven't gotten to this step yet, you may be surprised by how precise the timing for some of the tests need to be - for the hsg I was instructed to call on the first day of my period to schedule it as it has to happen before ovulation. I did that this morning and was told that they only offer the tests on Fridays and only at a hospital in the suburbs an hour from where I live and they are fully booked for next Friday but will put me on a waiting list. So after waiting all month to schedule the test, I can't even have it and they can't schedule me in advance for next month because my period is not so regular they could guys the day (it ranges from 25-31 days but is usually about 29, which seems pretty regular to me). So i will probably have the same problem next month too. Also, since I'm on the wait list, but I normally work Fridays, what am I supposed to do?

If they have a capacity problem they should f***ING fix it. This isn't quite as bad as when they made me wait 3 devastating days for a d&c after telling me my baby had stopped growing and it's heart had stopped beating more than 2 weeks prior, but it's the same capacity problem. Super pissed right now, but it's not like I can do anything other than rant and go get the stupid fasting blood test first thing Sunday morning (day 3 of my period).
