Really wanting to foster but every year it seems just barley out of reach and I'm

I'm not but hope to in the future. I was a foster kid And I'd like to thank you for wanting to foster. The 2 years I was in care (15-17/18) were the best of my childhood. I was able to feel safe and normal and was free to do as I wished (sports, job where I got to keep the money, etc). I owe a lot of my stability and mental health to them.

I'm not a foster parent, but my mother was.

I'm so thankful for all of the wonderful children I was able to meet. My mother fostered babies mainly.
It was hard getting attached to all of the different children. Some of them went home, some of them were adopted. 
You just have to keep an open mind, and a open heart.
