Am I still a virgin?

Okay, so a couple of days ago me and my boyfriend tried to have sex. However, considering I'm a virgin or was a virgin he couldn't fully insert himself into me and it was to painful so we stopped. A couple weeks later we tried again, this time we had more success. It still hurt, but this time he was able to fully insert himself into me. But because of an interruption we didn't actually get to do the act, so it wasn't really like having sex. Does this mean I'm still a virgin or not?
