Clear mucus plug? (Sorry TMI)

Question

I went to the bathroom earlier (for the millionth time... Baby has dropped and he's sitting on my bladder literally making me feel like I'm gonna pee my pants at any given moment) and when I wiped there was some clear booger-y looking stuff. It was more significant than the egg white textured discharge, and way more stringy. There was no blood though... Could this be the mucus plug?

Not everyone's mucus plug comes with blood. With my first I had lost my mucus plug and it was exactly how you described it. Not everyone has a blood show.

Doesnt sound like it. The mucus plug looks like a nasty giant booger with blood. You can goodly pictures of it to get a better idea. But a lot of discharge is very common during all stages of pregnancy.

Mine was clear and I showed a picture of it to my doctor and he said it was my mucous plug.

I had that a lot towards the end of my first pregnancy and thought it was my mucus plug but boy was I wrong! Haha when I had my membranes swept a few hours later I started losing my actual mucus plug and as they say it is like a gigantic booger, almost jello consistency. Mine wasn't bloody either. After talking to my OB she said the clear stringy mucus I was having is very normal to increase in later pregnancy as that's how your body keep everything down there protected from infection, and the extra blood flow in the last trimester increases causing you to produce more.
