I'm in NY and with the blizzard there are no risks of seeing a mosquito right now, but spring will arrive fast and this virus could arrive in USA as well... (Hope NOT but my hormones make me paranoid about my baby health)
So, Up to how many weeks is zika virus dangerous for the baby?

Don't stress your self out too much mommy. There's only been a few reported cases here. Hawaii, Texas and Florida. Those women traveled to South America and became infected.  If you've been in the states you're fine. The media is blowing this way out of proportion.

They haven't determined whether there are any late effects from contracting the virus while pregnant. Meaning that even if baby is born without microcephaly, they don't know that there won't be developmental or cognitive issues later on. They don't know either way.

As of now they are saying that it is the riskiest in the first trimester. You should be fine :)
