Baby shower???

I am almost 9 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child!!  My first is a boy which I had a baby shower with him.  I kept EVERYTHING of his, clothes, toys, etc unless it was gross or destroyed.  So I really don't need a ton of stuff.  My question, do you normally have a baby shower after your first child??  I would love your input!!

In my family we have a baby show for all kids. But my family loves to get together so just give us a reason lol

I had never heard of a second baby shower being tacky or inappropriate until recently. I always thought each baby should be celebrated and if you don't need something because you have it from your first child, you can always request the things you do need instead.

In my family we also each other showers for every pregnancy.   New baby, only fair they get their own memories, plus family/friends get together, that's Always fun. So if someone throws you a shower,  don't deny it.   :)

From where I'm from, it's customary to only have a baby shower for your first.....unless there is a large age gap in between first and second kids.

My mom and MIL  are throwing me a shower. This is my 2nd. Mind you my daughter is almost 9 yrs old so I literally don't have anything! Plus I'm having a boy.

I had a "sprinkle" for my best friend for her 2nd.. just closest friends and family at a restaurant. Everyone kept saying how nice the day was. I think just it's totally fine to have a small shower to celebrate the new baby. 😊

With my mom she had another baby after 13&18 years so I thru her a "sprinkle" it was a little potluck with the men and woman, everyone just brought a meal to our church and she got tons of stuff.
