Ovulating on cd 7 or 8?

I am took 100mg Clomid this past cycle. My husband and I have been ttc for 2 years now. I am taking the Clomid because I have PCOS and my body is not ovulating on its own. My period only last about 4 or 5 days. I took the opk starting the day my period ended and got two positives on cd 7 and 8. But is that too soon? It seems odd but maybe thats why I haven't got pregnant because I normally wait a few days after my period if over to start doing the dirty. Any info will help! Thanks!
